The El Camino Pines hosted a benefit concert for local resident Dave Stewart and succeeded in raising $2,539.  Musicians included Stewart on drums, Grammy nominee Steve Hill, music veteran Mark Creamer (Billy Joel, Bob Seger), monster guitarist Mark Moulin, the multi-talented Roger Wynfield (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Joel, Glenn Campbell) and many more.

Dave Stewart suffers from an advanced cancer that has spread to many areas of his body to such a point that he is well beyond chemotherapy.  The good news announced last night is that the cancer hasn't advanced over the last few weeks.  But it has made it impossible for him to continue in his current business and his family has suffered financially as a result.

Stewart shared that he has quit his business and unveiled a charity he is starting.  He will call it James 10 and wants to spend his remaining time working to benefit families and individuals dealing with financial stuggles.
