Hi, I am the coach of Frazier Mountain Youth Cheerleading, which is a local youth cheerleading squad that began in June this year for ages 6-16.  On Sunday they had their very first competition, won first place and received an invite to Nationals!  The team is extremely excited!

There were approximately 80 teams at the event held at Magic Mountain.  The girls competed in two divisions: Youth IV level 2 show cheer which consists of tumbling, stunting, cheering, and dance segments as well as Youth IV Pom division which is a dance incorporating jazz technique using pom-pons as props (pom-pon is correct).  They placed 1st in the Show cheer division, and 3d in the Pom division. 

Their scores qualified them to compete at Nationals which are held in Las Vegas on Jan. 28- Feb. 1st. In order for the team to attend Nationals, we will have to raise $2000.00 in roughly 1 month.  We would like to have the community support us by donating, sponsoring and helping us at our fundraisers.  We would also like the community to come to Las Vegas and be our support team during competition!  After Nationals, the team will begin competing in PPAACC competitions; a series of 4 starting Feb 20, all of which are held in Bakersfield, with Finals in April.
