Ellie Light is actually Winston Steward of Frazier Park

by Brian Bierman

Everywhere else this is national news but here it's local.  The mysterious Ellie Light that has been writing letters to papers all across the country, posing as a resident of each paper's locale, has been identified as Winston Steward of Frazier Park.  As Austin Powers would say, "She's a man baby!"  This is a small town so perhaps someone can provide The Mountain Daily News with contact information.

The "Ellie" letters were printed in somewhere between 60 and 70 newspapers nationwide.  The content of the letters, nearly identical in each publication and written in support of President Obama, is less important.  Andrew Breitbart, founder of the Drudge Report, likened the "Ellie" letters to what Rush Limbaugh refers to as seminar callers.  A person that calls his show, under a pseudonym, with a claim that they were conservative or republican until something that Rush or some other visible conservative did to changed their mind.  Breitbart called it a long-time and continuing tactic of the left to frame the debate.

Frazier Park is on the map for the moment.

How can we be sure that Winston Steward is even a real person? Notwithstanding that, this journalistic "tactic" is shameful and I'm sorry our community has been associated with it.
