On Thursday 2/4/10 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, and Hostage Negotiators will be conducting a training exercise at Meadows Field in the International Terminal building.  The training will consist of practical problems which will simulate real situations the SWAT Team could potentially face.  The International Terminal is currently not in use, but occasionally citizens will go there instead of the new facility.  This release is to alert the public and media that the activities at Meadows Field during the above listed time frame are training exercises only.
