- Coordination of an outreach and publicity program for the USDA grant/loan program and rate review will occur. A community meeting will be announced for later this month; tentatively scheduled for 8/27 at 7 pm.
The board clarified that this package is a $2.1 million loan and a $1 million grant. The loan funds must be approved by the voters and spent first before the grant will be awarded. This is part of the ongoing reconstruction of FPPUD's infrastructure; tanks and downtown pipes were replaced in the previous phase. There will be five phases to complete all necessary infrastructure updates; this new loan/grant is for Phase 2;
- $48,000 in revenues, $53,000 in expenses in the month of July; insurance payment of $11,000 caused the deficit;
- Manager reported on system issues and on status of fixing Sam Young Canyon road and spring issues;
- Dealing with a structure-encroachment issue in Sand Canyon was discussed;
- Ongoing research and analysis will occur on offering additional public services.
