UPDATE:
Two oak trees said to be several centuries old were removed from the "parking lot-to-be" at the new library in Frazier Park today. This comes as a shock to many because it was said that they should remain and steps would be taken to accomodate them. The removal took place without prior notice.
There are many possible reasons for the removal from structural necessity to budget constraints but the rationale is unknown at this point. Regardless, many believe it is inexcusable for this to take place unannounced.
