The oldest church building on the hill was broken into on Saturday night. The thief or thieves entered through a window that they broke and stole 2 15" JBL speakers, a Sony presentation projector and a flatscreen computer monitor. The intruder(s) also kicked in a door on a shed; leaving a large footprint indicating a shoe size between men's 11 and 13.
This was the second time in the last 4 weeks. During the first break-in, perpetrators entered into a trailer on the property that the church uses as a kitchen. Only food was taken.
Pastor Scott Irwin says the church is having to resort to installing security cameras; hopefully as a deterrent. The church has had many efforts to help locals with goods from a food pantry, clothes and has been a great help to firefighters.
