Salt

by Brian Bierman

It wasn't bad.  But then again...it wasn't that good either.

Salt promised to be a fresh spy movie replete with fascinating intrigue.  It did have intrigue and kept you guessing somewhat but for some reason it fell flat.  This movie was almost all action from the start with bits of plot surfacing in brief conversation and flashback.  The plot was a rehash/recombination of various movies I've seen in the past.  Most notably, The Borne Identity.

Angelina Jolie's character, Evelyn Salt, was one tough lady.  Tougher than any human being in this present reality or the past; able to jump from car to car on a freeway or make her way down a high rise by hopping from one floor to the next in an elevator shaft.  She was Jason Borne and Bruce Lee all rolled up into a female body that was able to do almost anything. There was a twist at the end but not one I didn't expect.
