Fire on Cuddy Valley Road

by Brian Bierman

Our local fire department received a dispatch call at about 5:20 this afternoon.  Crew members said they arrived on the scene close to 5 minutes later and put it out in a matter of minutes.

The fire started on the north side of Cuddy Valley Rd. right accross the street from Darling Rd. and burned approximately 1/4 acre of grass according to the fire crew.  No private property was damaged and no one was injured.  The cause of the fire is unknown.

This piece of a mud flap was found right where the fire may have started.  It isn't yet known how long it has been there.
